General Views of Challenge

These two picture were sent to me by Arnold Harvey (Nolly)
Nolly served on Challenge briefly in 1964 when she was still coal fired.
He must have been one of the last people to fire her with coal as we know she was converted to oil in 1964.
Nolly recollects than she was notoriously difficult to fire, He was relief crew and the first job he did when he was on the Challenge
was to clean the tubes and furnace backs to make her easier to fire. Thanks Nolly.
