The accommodation is divided two areas, The officers area and the crew area. The officers i.e. the captain and the chief engineer had their own private cabins in the forward saloon area. The rest of the crew had very simple bunks in the after part of the vessel aft of the engine. There are 7 bunks in all although the first mate did have his own area in the aft cabin. Sleeping in the aft cabin is quite noisy because you are very close to the propeller.
